Default just some info on spark plugs

Hello to all, I was having problems with my check engine light coming on. I hook the scanner up to the bike and it was showing an intermenting sparkon the front cylnder. I removed the spark plug wire and found a loose conecter on top of the plug, i dont know how to explain it, but on some of the spark plugs out there have a screw on cap on top where the spark plug wire makes contact with the plug. anyways just food for thought. I removed the spark plugs and replaced them with the oem harly davidson spark plugs.

I assume that took care of the problem? Did you try tightening the cap that was loose before making a change to the plugs?

Years ago, probably before many of you were born, some plug systems had a split connector at end of wire instead of the socket you all are used too.
so the plug was sold with a removable top piece and came with a nut and washer for nutting down the other style wire.
some plugs today you can still remove the standard top. but they rarely include the nut in the box anymore except for special applications.

Some old farm tractors, models A's and lawn mowers etc used them.
I've wrenched, huey's, ov10A broncos, cars, trucks, big rigs, heavy equipment and scoots and lawn mowers.
