Default Hardbag lid edge, rubs against seat. Fix?

Yeah, I didn't think much of it. When sitting on the seat, the lid rubs.

No biggie, I covered the edge with a sliver of packing tape for protection. But seems the tape wore through and noticed today that the clearcoat is now gone and the paint is wearing too.

Anyone have this issue? How'd ya fix it?

Your saddlebags may be moved too far forward... Adjust the mounting brackets and see if moving the bagsrearward helps any.

if that doesn't work add a spacer in between the frame and the saddlebag mounting hardware.

Looked at them a bit tonight, moving them down looks like a real hassle.

Moving them back looks like a good remedy.

Thanksall for the idea

I had to move my saddlebag mounts back when I put hardbags on my RK Classic. Now I just need to touch up the spot on my bags that rubbed off.

Had this same problem with my FLHXSE. I caught it before it wore all the way through the clear/paint. Adjusted my bags, and it didn't fully alleviate the problem.

In the end, I order a new seat from C&C. Harley makes motorcycles, not seats. Never did like the seat that came with my bike.....
