The back rest on my 1999 Ultra looks like it needs to be straightened. I'm the 2nd owner and the other guy was a big guy. I think its bent back wards. I moved it forward, but still it looks like it should be bent forward more. Has anyone ever done this without taking it apart? See Picture. Help.

That should do it. But I think you will need to take it off to bend it back Might have bent the fender better check it out. Good luck

take the backrest out and the seat off to determine just what is bent.

Are those not adjustable ?

 

Tanker, you can do it without taking apart, just put a knee in the seat, and pull like hell on it until it's where you want it.... although I would not recommend this method..... depends what kinda mood I was in on how I would fix it ; take it apart and straighten the bent parts, or just yank it back into place.....
