Default Bucking Bronco!

normally i start my bike in neutral(clutch pulled in just to be safe) the other day i started it in gear with the clutch pulled in and when the bike started it give a bit of a lurch, looked at my left hand to make sure i was pulled in all the way on the lever, and i was, also the bike did start. shut it down and did it 2 more times, same bucking result.started it back up(in neutral no prob) and took a short ride, got back in the garage, shut down,re-start in gear,no lurch, started 3 more times in gear no problem. went out yesterday, started in gear and LURCH! what the hell is it!same thing, rode a bit and it did not do it again, bike is an 06 rkclassic alittle over 9k on the bike, any ideas?

Thick oil / Cold
Do that with a good racing clutch and you do a lot more than lurch.

I felt a tug on mine back when it was warm. I also believe it's normal.

Ride well,

Jim

How much freeplay do you have at the clutch lever?
If it's a little sloppy you might want to adjust it.
If not, it's probably a combination of cold and sitting.
