This is an idea from my wife sitting next to me here:

Make it a scavenger hunt, wrap clue number one and put it under the three, then clue number two and three and son on eventually having the last clue being outside in the mailbox. while she is going around the house for two or three clues you go outside and wait for her to go to the mailbox and be there with flowers waiting for her.

Ps this is my wifes and daughters idea....

It should be awesome once she sees it however it gets to her..

Good luck

I gave my ex-wife a Jeep once. Took the batteries out of her opener at work. When she got home, garage door wouldn't open. She came in the house and sort of bitched at me to fix it. I said I didn't think anything was wrong with it and told her to go outside while I open the door from the inside. Ta-Da!

I bought my wife a new Armada last year and parked in my work shop behind my house. When she got back home that next day I accused her of spilling paint on my new shop floor. I layed it on really thick and she started getting pissed. When I knew she was good and mad I told her to come out and I will show her. The walk to the shed was filled with curse words from her. When I opened the door I told her to see the mess for herself, and when she stepped in I turned on the lights. She jumped up and down and cried for hours. Funny as hell.

I guess if we don't hear from you for a few days after Christmas, it because you are being a good boy....I like the scavenger hunt or the driving on the grass..

I gave my wife a new Mazda6 for her 40th birthday.

I told her I was taking her old car in for work to be done on it. She drove my truck to work. I told her I didn't want her to try and put my truck in the garage so just leave it outside.

Later when I gave her her gifts, the key was inside one of them. As soon as she saw the key, it clicked what happened!

She ran out to the garage and there was the new car with a big bow on it.

That was a fun birthday for both of us!

Thanks guys for the feedback. The scavenger hunt sounds like a good one. While I like some of the other ideas I have 2 kids so going out to dinner / breakfast is tough. I really want to give it to her on Christmas day too. I host brunch for the family that day so it would be hard to take her out somewhere and then switch it.

Again feedback is awesome. I am leaning towards the a-hole on the grass idea. Would fit with my family!

We use the scavenger hunt thing with a lot of gifts. Adds to the fun of the gift. We often use questions from a tv show we use to watch, and are very familar with. Make it fun. Of course, I can't resist the temptation to **** the OL off, so I would do something to really get her going, then when she is at the point of losing it, have her go out and look in the driveway... good luck with it. BTW, what did she get?

I would love to get her (me) a bike Eddie. Bought her a Buick Enclave. I had a hard time sleeping last night just thinking about it. One other option could be me going outside in the morning and coming back in upset that there is a ding in the pick up she has been driving, then she would see the new truck.

I appreciate everyone taking the time to reply.

B.T.W. I heard a good holiday joke today. Why is Santa always so Jolly?..............

He knows where all of the naughty girls are!
