Well, you're looking at 3 hours labor as they have to drop the exhaust to get to the cam chest, they have to pull the fuel tank to take out the stock pushrods unless you agree to let them put on a set of adjustables for $140. With a 2000 scoot, depending on the mileage, they will also check your cams while they are in there. If the hardening or other parts of the cam doesn't look good, they will suggest putting new cams in. They should also, again depending on the mileage suggest changing out at least the lifters. If they did put in new cams, the lifters would be a no brainer. So I ask, what is your mileage? If I were you I would do the work myself and save some big bucks. You could also look at this oportunity to go to gear drives so you wouldn't have to worry about the tensioners again. What is your budget you are allowing yourself for the tensioners?

cams are a great up-grade. But I think you should look at a Woods cam or a Head-Quarters cam to give you the best bang for the buck.

You will want to go gear drive to eliminate the crappy tensonors you have to check. I made the mistake of not going this way first and regret it becuase I know I have to go back in there in a year with the mileage I put on the bike.

Also at this time you should replace your inner and outter cam bearings even if you only choose to replace your tensioners.
