Default Relocating Air Shock Tubing

When mounting the bracket for a removable sissy bar the instructions say to re-route the tubing for the air shock under the fender support. I was able to get teh red grommet(?) away from the filler fitting, but the black tubing is still stuck in the fitting. I pulled but didn't want to break, this tubing seems kind of delicate. Is this suppose to slip right out?

It's usually a compression fitting with a small "O" ring that seals the tube in to the fitting. It should come out fairly easy.

When I removed my shocks last year to try the low profile ones I called my dealer and they told me to push in on the red fitting to remove the line. When you put the line back in you just push it in without compressing the fitting. Hope this helps.

When I installed my detachable hardware, I did not relocate the air tubing. I removed the bracket that that holds the schrader valve and bent it a little so the sissy bar bracket would not hit it when installing it.

This saved me from relocating and rerouting the air tubing and valve.

You can PM if you need more specifics.

Hope this helps...
