Mustang seat for 2005 FLHTPI
Hello all,
New to the forum and wanted to get your opinions. I have read all the previous posts but wanted an update. I bought the police bike last year and have the street glide seat on it which is good for me but not a passenger. I also have a detachable backrest.
Question is what Mustang seats have you guys used? I was looking at the 2 piece where the passenger seat is removable. Opinions??

RE: Mustang seat for 2005 FLHTPI
Your passenger will like the Mustang pilliion much more than the SG seat.
However, I doubt you will be able to use your HD rider backrest with any Mustang solo seat--you can't even use the HD rider backrest with the HD solo seats. But check with Mustang to be sure.
I have used the RK Standard solo/pillion on my '04 FLHTPI for almost3 years and 40K+ miles (99% solo, no pillion installed)and have been pleased with it--but many are not apparently because they show up on EBAY as take-offs very often and can be had for 100 bucks or so. Because of the shorter seat tongue at the front, any RK seat will be short, leaving a gap between the front of the seat and the end of the tank console--HD sells a filler piece for this. Otherwise, any Road Glide or Electra Glide seat (pre-08) will fit your FLHTPI.
