"That big antenna makes the bike look like some sort of full sized radio controlled toy"

I just bought another 08 arial, now I have two!!

Looks miles better with two and the 08 is better than the whip!

But as already said, you can get a harley kit that hides it altogether or go with a short stubby version.

Up to you!

"That big antenna makes the bike look like some sort of full sized radio controlled toy." That'sEXACTLY what it looks like---Perfect description.

I use a Dakota Digital knock-off--works fine in Metro Atlanta and avoids the entire antenna relocation/Tour Pak mount issue which is great since the TP is off the bike 95% of the time.

I bought a black rubber one about 12" in length from Auto Zone for $4.99. Seems to work as good as the stock. The material is not as flexible but it liiks great.

I have the dakota digital powered antenna under the fairing and it works great.... I usually listen to an MP3 CD, but if I want FM it works fine.

XM magnetic antenna for My FI by Panasonic stuck onto the rear fender behind the seat, charging/antenna mount installed in the bag and a power source from under the seat and you do not need AM, FM,or NOOA.
