Default Need a Better Headlight Bulb

Crappy lighting on my Ultra. Yellow, dull, I need a better bulb. On the old bike, I used to run a OSRAM Silverstar H4. I was a great bulb. I bought it online, but can't remember where. Do they make this bulb to fit an Ultra? Anybody run this bulb? I did a google search, but everything was vague as to what models the bulb fit. Plus, they were sold in pairs.

I have been running the silverstars for over 10,000 miles no problems.

I slid a Hella HI4 in the light socket. My buddy hates being leadman!

Bitches about my light being so bright...and I only run it on LO beam!

Price was kinda steep though, but when it comes to seeing/being seen...money well spent!

Low beam was out on my ultra when I bought it in spring. I replaced it and the damn low beam went out last time I rode it. Gotta wonder what the hell is going on to have it die that quick, but then it may have been a cheapy part cause I got it from a old time biker mechanic that specializes in 'rigging' things. I think I'll try this silver star next.

We can get blue xenon bulbs here in the UK - have them in my Buell and wife's Dyna. They give a colder, whiter light than all previous types of bulb - should be available from any auto shop.

On my Glide I have fitted a Harley HID headlamp kit, which is even whiter and brighter on dip and a great daytime light, but main is very poor and dip does not give a very good pattern on the road in the dark. Very expensive and I cannot recommend it, unless you want to look cool, but not see!

Great bulb, really lights up the highway. For me I couldn't get more than about 10 months ( 15,000 miles ) out of one. Tried them twice with the same results, just went back to stock.

What bulbs do the dual headlight kit take?

I have the kit in the garage, but I haven't installed it yet. I figure it's a good time to throw in new brighter bulbs before I install it.
