I vote for Zümo 550 as well . Great little device - and with a connector from Kenney (www.cellset.com) you can take calls from your bluetooth telephone through you HD headset - and get instructions from the GPS as well

The 550 is costly. "Played" with my friends on a hunting trip to Eagle Lake Maine, the recalculations are a joke!Only used bluetooth once or twice and it worked great, but who will be using a cell phone while on a scoot? It failed to include such basic functions as altitude and a compass that functions while the unit is navigating to a waypoint. It also fails to provide a heading indicator or any reference of direction on the route page. You can toggle to the trip information page and get a basic heading readout (N,S,W,E) but not a true compass heading.
Yes all the attachments are great, but close to $1,000.00 for a product that lackscapability then mostbasic models. It also requires a $250+ antenna to receive XM radio.

1. The Zumo 550 is costly 621.00 (PC Nation) no tax or delivery charges.
2. Recalculations can be turned on, off or prompted.(No Joke)
3. My wife sitting on the back of my bike might phone ahead to make sure a fuel station is actually open before riding miles out of the way, wasting fuel and possibly running out looking for an open station.
4. While navigating to a way point you don’t need to know a heading as the GPS knows where it’s going. As you said with 1 touch of the screen you can get to a compass that not only shows a compass but also shows # of degrees.(i.e.: NW 323)
Also on the same page it shows Elevation (read Altitude)
5. I’ve seen the XM antenna on E-bay as low as 199.00. Not the 499.95 that Harley Davidson charges, 76471-06A
Fits '06-later Touring models equipped with an Advanced Audio Radio System. Requires installation of appropriate Antenna Bracket P/N 76455-06 (FLH models) or 76316-06A (FLTR models). For that price it does not even include the antenna mounting bracket. (WOW)
6. H/D by the way charges 999.95 for their turn by turn nav system for the H/K advanced system. Which shows no map.76471-06A
Fits '06-later Touring models equipped with an Advanced Audio Radio System. Requires installation of appropriate Antenna Bracket P/N 76455-06 (FLH models) or 76316-06A (FLTR models). 1000.00 And another antenna bracket to buy? (What gives) MSRP US $999.95
I’m not harshing on H/D just pointing out some facts.

My vote is for the Zumo 550. Yes it is a bit pricey, but well worth the money. It is convenient, has all the attachments to move between the bike and the car has software than can be used with routing and is waterproof. I used mine on a 3000 mile road trip this summer and it was the best new item I bought for the trip.
Buy it with your visa and double your warranty.

Had a email conversation with Jon Jambor @ Kennedy today
You may want to note that sound from your MP3 player will only be available through your headset.. unless --- we talked about that it should be possible to route a "copy" of Audio Out on the Zumo to the Aux input on the radio.. Then you'll get the sound to the speakers as well..
Herehttp://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=10044.0you'll find information on how you can route aux-input on the back of the radio so you won't have to have a jack in the front (you'll have to create an account and log in to see the pics)
