I bought some Thinsulite lined gaunlets that have external covers and some liners.

Mike, the Harley Goretex Thinsulite lined gaunlets are ideal and are waterproof not too bulky AND they proctected me earlier this week. No tears in the material or on my hands. I have used these for many years.
