I'm not sure why you want to lower your bike. If it's for reach you might have somebody like "Mean City" rework you seat and lower itas much as two inches and maintain the bikeshandling. If it's for looks then I guess you take the other route.

Ride well,

Jim

I am 5ft 8in, I have had 2 ultras lowered useing Harley parts. My 2000 and 2003 both were lowered front and rear. Never had a problem, Handeled well, good ride. I dont think you would even notice it if you did not know it was done.

I have mine lowered front with the HD lowered springs and in the back with the low pro shocks and a lowering kit. I have bottomed out over a rough set of rr tracks but I don't btm out regurlarly. The ride will be stiffer but once you ride a few miles I really don't notice much of a difference.

KDC this was a good article on the lowering question. I've toyed with the idea for sometime but am concerned about the 2 up ride. I think the 1" on the rear will be ok. thanks for the link.

Put a set of 12 inch air shocks from eastern performance on my brothers road king classic for 139.00 and he loves it. Handles great too. Ride is the same

Rougher ride, reduced cornering clearance... why bother?

Had a 97 Road King with the lowering blocks, used to bottom out....Changed over to the lower Progressive 440 Shocks and it was Great a totally different bike.

Just got a 07 EGC and did the Harley lower rear shocks and the front end springs when I did the chrome front end before delivery and I love the way it handles. It helps us shorter folks flat foot the bike and with the lower center of gravity makes a difference.
