R.U.B. lowering kit - PICTURES???
Does anyone out there have a pic of their scooter with this particular lowering kit installed???
Dying to see some pics, especially on an 05 Ultra.
Any issues??? Heard it lowers the rear end by up to 2.5 inches and looks bad ***??? Seems like allot. Maybe it is called RUB because it scrapes the fender
Please post or email me your photos. My ride is in storage (Wisconsin) till the snow goes away
THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!!!!
Happy New Year Dave H.

RE: R.U.B. lowering kit - PICTURES???
I had the same concerns. But I got this kit used off EBAY for half price so no big loss if they suck.
I wrote to allot of EBAYer's who bought this kit and 99.9% are very satisfied - just look at this guy's feedback ratings/comments.
Here is a reply from the inventor of this kit when I questioned him on fit/practicality for an 05 FLHTCUI:
>>>>>>>>>>>>&g t;>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>
PERFECT FIT.YOU WILL HAVE TO PLAY WITH THE AIR IN THE SHOCKS TO SUIT YOU.YOU MAY HAVE TO RUN UPWARDS OF 40 TO 45lbs.OF AIR IN THE SHOCKS.
HARLEY SAYS THAT YOU CAN RUN UP TO 42lbs.IN THERE STOCK SHOCKS .MY BUDDY PULLS A TRAILER WITH HIS ULTRA WITH OUT A PROBLEM.WITH 48lbs WITH HIS WIFE ON THE BACK.IF YOUR OUT BY YOURSELF LET THE AIR OUT AND YOU WILL BE FINE.I WEIGHT 250 AND I RUN AROUND WITH ZERO lbs. IN THE SHOCKS.
I HOPE THIS HELPS.
THANKS GARY

Not sure about the kit, I know with my one inch less than stock shocks I wouldn't want anyless than that, the ride can be pretty harsh on a hard bump, if you use the stock height shock with his kit it might ride o-k, since you have it, let us know how it works out.

Here is a picture of my roadglide with the Solow 1 1/4 inch rear lowering kit and the 1 1/4 inch progressive lowering springs on the fornt. I have no problems rubbing. I don't think there is anyway you could lower the rear of your bike 2 1/2 inches and ever think about riding douple.

I lowered my 05' RK Standard 1-1/2" with the SoLow kit. You have to use the stock shocks or you will be too low. Besides, the lowering shocks won't give you as good a ride. As for the 2-1/2" lowering kit, I would be careful about the clearance. Check under the rear fender and make certain any screws that protrude down, such as the rear pilon screw, are filed down. Remember your rear lamp wiring harness runs through there so make sure there is clearance for that. I wouldn't worry so much about the floorboards and crash bars scraping. If you are lowered 2-1/2" at the rear axle, and 0" at the front axle, then you are probably only lowered about 1" at the bars and maybe 1-1/2" at the boards. Good luck and post some pics when you got it done.
