Default arnott air ride big price drop

I've been following this system and have watched the price go from $1150 to $998 to $698. It looks like the shocks are different than the original kits that were sold. Anyone have one of the new kits? How are the new shocks.
Thanks, Brian

Funny you should ask. I've been eying these for my V-Rod. Rumor has it, there is a new control that they developed, and are testing. It has 3 pre-sets that can be programmed in. One for "salm" one for "one up" one for "two-up" riding. I like the idea that the air springs are over a traditional oil dampened shock.

Hey Brian - PM Bart, I'm pretty sure he is a dealer for them now.

Brian,
They offer two different styles. I think the one you are talking about is an air bag, like a Legends system, only the Arnott is built on a Bilstein. The other is an air system that has an internal bladder and I think those are still $999 +/-. Mopar7 has a set. Arnott use to have a set that was built on a QA1, fully adjustable dampening but they have discontinued selling them. Those would have been sweet.

I wish there was one definitive system out there, an easy choice. I was thinking of designing a systems using car shocks from the 70's so I could be draggin' my bagger....hey that might be a clever name for the product!!![:'(][:@]

Seriously, I want an air ride system but have no idea which is the right way to go. AirFX, Platinum, Arnott.....

That’s not the same shock I have but would want to know what the difference is. It looks like the air bag is exposed and the one I have is covered. I would have to say I’d be real pissed if they were the same other then the cover. I will call them tomorrow.

Bart, What’s up with this system? $300.00 drop in three weeks? [sm=wtf.gif]

Mopar are there two different inlets on your shocks. I have the platinum system and you can set the ride pressure and height independently. Ihave had no problems (well I dropped the compressor from the mounting strap, butI am thinking it was because of the way I mounted it) I just wished it would lower more when I am parked. I guess it is good that when fully lowered it will not bottom out in case I ever drop pressure or blow a line on the road, but I just want that slammed look when showing the bike.
