Default fairing lowers on an 07 SG

Need some thoughts on vented fairing lowers. I live in the northeast so the summer at times can get pretty hot and humid. I want the lowers for the looks and to help with the buffeting I get when my feet are on the highway pegs.

How many of you guys take the lowers off in the summer, something I would like to avoid if possible. And if you take them off do you have the vented or non vented type. Do the vented type still allow plenty of air flow when open fully, for bothriderand engine.

And the part # I have is 58854-05DH for the vivid black vented fairing lowers please let me know if this is correct.

Thanks ahead of time for any help and/or comments.

I leave mine on year round and don't have any issues. If you do decide to take them off, do get the quick detach hardware for the lowers as it will make it much easier. And yes, that is the correct pn#, retail $649

I've got a quick detach kit on mine but tend to leave them on year round. They really improve the ride.

I love mine...When it's really hot out, I remove the vent door, which gives a little more air flow.
I've never felt the need to remove them.

Do the lowers come with the glove box, or is it additional? And, do any of you guys have the PN for a black pearl set for my rk custom?

You could opt for the covers for the crash bar , much less expensive , easy on and off and blocks the elements
