Default Saddlebag guard suggestions?

New to the Road Glide world,(not telling anyone)and looking to get a saddlebag support guard. Of the two types offering "actual protection", which one of the two works. The comfort profile rear guard kit, or the larger Chrome rear saddlebag guard kit?

Profile offers better passenger comfort, same protection for a minor tip.

I have the confort guards. You also need to buy the saddlebag supports and a few bolts. The parts book lists the extras you need. BTW, the supports are black.

I bought a set of the standard chrome guards on Ebay for $100. I considered the "Comfort Profile" guards but they will not fit the saddlebag guard bags, which I need.
