Have an02 Classic with a batwing fairing - want to export the bike to Canada - Question - how difficult to swap out the Miles per Hour to a Kilometer per hour speedo - picked one up on e-bay - do I just take off the inner fairing and is it plug and play or more complicated - I`m a two left handed kinda mechanic !!! - thanks

It's a fairly simple job although it's the outer fairing that you will need to remove. a service manual will help a lot.
Take pictures before and during the removal, just in case.
Cover the front fender with a bath towel and put sweat socks on the passing lamps.

 

Take off out fairing (easy) remove two screws with old speedo and install new speedo with two screw, re-install outer fairing and you are done.
