Default Stereo ? for aftermarket fairing owners

What stereos and speakersare you using? I bought my fairing empty and plan to purchase my own system. I'm curious if you all bought them with what ever unit the fairing company offered or if you upgraded and also what are you all using for an antenna? Please give the good, the bad, and the ugly. Thanks

I don't have the bike any more, but I had a Sony marine grade CD deck CDX-50M was the model (I think) and Polk Audio DB575's in my Dead Center fairing. The Polks are all marine grade and sound sweet. The things I liked about the Sony were the high power, color of the display (matches the spun aluminum gauges), it played MP3 and ATRAC3 discs, and the fact that I could get a Sirius module for it. This setup really worked well.

The radio in mine is a Sony Marine, AM/FM/CD/MP-3/XM ready CDX-50M, with KFC-1680ie speakers.

I chose this radio since at the time I bought my fairing from DCC, they were not offering the radio options then.

Get a radio with a set of push buttons for volume up an down. Its a PITA to get used to the old school **** volume. Great in a car/truck or a boat, ona bike NOPE don't recommend it.

My Dragonfly came with a Kenwood. No issues with the fairing or stereo unit.
