That's a great deal compared to my dealer. 10K service is $560, a little less because I bring my own oil. Mobil 1 V-twin 20-50 for engine, RedlineHeavy Shockproof for the tranny and HD Performance + for the primary. New tires are $99 plus thecost of tire, front $129, rear $149. I let the dealer do the big service intervals, 1K, 10K, 20K, etc. The others I do myself, 5K, 15K...... I've had my07 SG6 1/2 months and have 14,3xx on the odometer. Went with the lubricants mentioned above at 1K service and I have never had any problems, period. Ride hard, ride safe.

OK fasteddie, being in Texas you have a little different "winter" than we do. Winter storage is a concern up here in the frozen tundra. As far as miles, first I don't know how you got there with this thread, second with 2 jobs and 3 kids involved in everything imagineable I am pretty happy with the 7000 miles I put on this year. I am not going to listen to you say that I wont understand just because you have more free time than I do.

Cool, fasteddie - I didn't mean to get pissy with you about this whole deal, sounds like we just weren't on the same page. I personally keep my bikes home so I can ride if the weather permits - I rode all 12 month last year.

By the way, thanks for the comments about my bike. That's a good lookin scoot you have too!
