RE: Chopped Tour pack for RG
I highly recomend the king as well. I have the detachable one for trips and riding 2 up. I almost got the chopped as well and am so glad I didn't. Way more room than the chopped and way more comfortable backrest for your passenger. I feel they are for storage and more for function than style. It is awesome to have for the long trips but as soon as I get home it comes off to bring back that SG look that I fell in love with

RE: Chopped Tour pack for RG
I have taken two trips across country on my RG with a chopped pack and have had plenty of room. I pack my clothes for 4 days in one of my saddle bags and tool pouch, rain suit, shaving kit and any other misc.BS in the other saddle bag. I put my maps, first aid kit, camera, jackets, and anything I may need to get to on gas stops in the tour pack for easy access.
I transfer dirty clothes from one saddle bag to the other until I need to wash them and then just find a laundry mat or a lot of hotels now have a place to do laundry. The way I see it is if I had a King Pack I would probably carry way more crap than I really need and then have to work around all that crap everytime I needed something. Pack light and you can always find a Walmart if you absolutely need something you need and don't have.
Just my opinion, but I think the chopped pack looks best on a RG.
