Wild1 WO518 Handle Bars on 2008 Touring
Hello All...
I'm VERY Interested in the WO518's to put on my 2008 RK Standard...
I was wondering if ANYONE has done this yet???
If so what needs to be changed??? Cables??? Throttle-By-Wire??? Nothing???
According to the website it says that STOCK WORKS... I am mainly worried about the THROTTLE BY WIRE SYSTEM...
Hope to hear back from someone that has some experience w/ this...
Thanks!!!
RON

RE: Wild1 WO518 Handle Bars on 2008 Touring
I just put a set of WO 518 handle bars on a 2008 FLHR. Your stock clutch cable and brake line are long enough but you will have to bend the front brake line filling at the master cylinder a little in order for it to work and look good. I ran all of my wires on the inside of the bars. The throttle by wire harness is long enough but you will have to extend the rest of them. No additional HD parts are needed. The hole in the center of the WO bars where the wires enter the headlight nautical needs to be enlarged. It is to small. I took a pencil grinder and opened the hole up 1/2 inch wider so the wires would pull through. You are going to LOVE the position the 518's put you in compared to stock.
