i am having a hard time figuring out the code stuff! [:@]
it is still running bad!
O-k lets back up a bit, the bike was running good and then wash job and then bull crap running. First I want to ask did you do anything to the bike mechanically in the period before the bike wash, -ie- any mods breather change etc. anything? Second how long have you had the bike, a little history mileage, third what did you use to wash the bike, pressure washer etc. Seat of the pants if you did get water in the ECM it's possible that even dry now the unit recieved damage, or other seat of pants you have a water soaked breather, third, water can get in very many bad places plug wires, breather, electrical connections, etc., good thing is it can be fixed. So let's start with the info and go from there.

ok guys sorry i havent replied! i took the bike into a shop that still has it and they cant figure it out either! they ran the scaner and it had two codes.. 1 was a crank shaft position sensor and 2 was the heat sensor.. bothe were removed and tested and both were fine.. he then cleared the codes and they still havent come back.. however it is still falling flat on its face throughout the throttle.. any speed even if there isnt a load it will miss and sputter then pull thru.. he is putting it on some race scanner ting that is a computer in a back pack that he can mark each miss then see it on the computer! and no i havent done anything as far as recent work on the bike or anything like that! i rode it and washed it and that was it!

thanks for ur replies and keep them coming!

the guy replaced the plug wires, fuel filter, cleaned every connector on the bike, cleaned the tank out witch he said was full of paint chips and whatnot from the custom paint and several other small thing and said he drove it 20+ miles no trouble..

Scott

Glad to hear your mechanic found something definitive that could cause the problem. Ride it this week end. Hope it runs great so you can take a looooong ride.
