Default CHROME SWITCH HOUSINGS ON 05FLHRCI

I installed chrome switch housings & switch caps on my 05 Road King Classic, the problem is the switch housings have an extra hole at the bottom next to the cruise control. The stealer says there is no chrome cover for the hole, just a black plastic one like on the stock housings. Does anyone know where you can get chorme plugs for it? the black ones are driving me crazy!

Not sure what hole you'r talking about ? I don't have cruise. But you might try the J & P catalog or some other parts book. I can't believe Harley davidson wouldn't have anything for that. It would bother me to.

Try filling it in with a cruise button.

The switch housings fit more than the Road King Classic which has cruise control buttons, there is an extra hole for radio controls for other bikes that is plug on the FLHRCI, the problem is HD does not make a chrome plug for it.

I understand, what I'm suggesting is filling the holes with dummy switches!

I just used the black ones - wonder if you've ever tried chrome spray paint - hmmmm - I might give that a try myself .

I installed the housings on my '02. Don't have any extra holes. I used part # 70228-96B. The space next to the cruise is for the indicator lights.

You should have no extra holes. You have lights that tell you when it's on and when it's engaged. Check to make sure they are no in the old housings.

I'm in the process of installing cruise control on my 04 FLHRI (hopefully finish it up tonight after work). The add on cruise doesn't seem to have the indicator lights. Just the black covers. Wonder if we could add those indicator lights?

Not on my 05 RK Classic, the only indicator lights are on the dash. And 05HOG is working on a 05 RK Classic, maybe the "Glides are different.
