Hey Bwana, there's a reason so many LEO's ride the big HD's in the heavy city traffic! I've had mostly big FL's for the 42 years I been on the front seat. These things are designed for slow tight maneuvering! If you haven't seen the Ride Like A Pro dvd yet, get it! You won't believe what you can do with an Ultra! Don't even think twice about getting one.........I have the Classic, cause that's the one I wanted, but the Ultra is the same thing with a few more bells and whistles. There is nothing better, more comfortable or more versatile...........it will handle short little in town trips with ease, and when you head out on the highway for a long road trip, nothing comes close! Have fun, enjoy the new FL!

Troll,

A friend of mine is on Sac. PD and he had an 06 Ultra. He kept telling me about it and said it was the perfect bike for me. Now I think I believe him.

If is above 25 degrees and not raining when I leave, I ride to work. The one exception is a day like today where there is a 60 percent chance of rain and/or snow, I don't mess with snow, got caught once last winter and it wasn't fun.

I dont have an Ultra, but I ride my Classic to work all the time. About 15 miles each way. Sometimes the 15 going home turns into 50.
know what ya mean. i live 8 miles from work but somehow its a 50 mile round trip every day.

As you can see from the posts, those touring guys love riding their bikes every chance they get. Me too. Now, if I lived in Hong Kong or Singapore, or Manhattan, I might want a smaller bike to maneuver in those tight places. But, in a normal situation where you have at least a little room a touring bike will work just fine. My ultra works just fine in town. For the price I paid and the reasons I paid it, I want to ride that bike every day I can. I love it.
