florida--no heltmet law
yes--- I have three 1/2 helmet, full face shoei & motorcross gvc helmet
free country is your choice to wear one or not
depends where I am going and conditions, wear a helmet about 30% of the time...it gets hot here
could save your life if you hit your head, can see better when raining and you are less fatigued when wearing the full face I just cant hear the radio...

If you want a Canadian perspective, here goes.

1 .Helmets mandatory across the country here.

2. I own only DOT helmets

3. I would not - I want freedom of choice

4. Pros: Will protect your mellon if you hit it. Keeps my mellon warm on cold days. keeps my mellon too warm on hot days. Protects my mellon from sunburn.

5. For the people that say "those who do not wear helmets are elevating insurance costs and tying up the medical institutions with preventable issues", I say, quit smoking before you make that statement....there, that should just about pi$$ off everyone.

[ol][*]if you live in a helmet law state yes but it does not require a dot helment[*]do you own a helmet(DOT approved) yes, several[*]would you support a nation wide law requiring helmets, and why or why not no;freeddom of choice[*]any pros/cons to helmets that you can think of (price, cumfort, experience etc..) not really. find one that fits and is comfortable; you can't see youself with it on anyway[*]any other comments. Many choices have been taken away and has caused laws to be made. I think if you are over 21 then you should be able to make your own choice. I have seen in my 44 years of riding many as where the helmet has caused damage and I have seen where a helmet could have elimated damage. That is one of the reasons it should be a choice.

Have been dealing with helmet laws issues for a lot of years. It should not be forced on people with inacurate statistics. And as always Let Those Who Ride Decide!!

1. no helmet required in IL

2. yes (2 half, 2 three-quarters & 1 full face)

3. no (i prefer freedom of choice)

4. more comfortable without one...if you're going somewhere that you don't wantto
wear ahat (dinner, movie, etc.) wearing a helmet makes your hair look like you
just crawled outta bed and don't own a comb.

5. couldvery well save your life.
