RE: jACKS
....my advice is to buy the Red-Jack on sale...I got mine for $59.00 on sale with Craftsman-Club discount...you will be looking at the jack in the corner of your garage 99.8% of the time so save the extra money on the yellow one and put it somewhere else in the bike. The red one works when you need it to....

If you dont expect to really ever use a jack either one would be ok. I got one of those other more heavy duty kinds $350. thought it was overkill but now wish I had gottin aneven a better one or even a lift type???? Its a good investment and over the years even if like me only do general work on bike you will be glad you did. Just my 6 cents

I have the Red Craftsman jack and it works great and lowers load slowly. It is made of carbon steel and weighs about 70 pounds. I would not spend extra money on the yellow jack. This Jack is made from aluminum, is lighter, and costs more. I would not consider the yellow one unless I was hauling it around a lot.

RE: jACKS
I have two of the Sears red jacks.....and I like them a bit better than the Sears Yellow. The yellow jack has what is almost like a tripod design, and is not as stable as the red jack. The yellow jack could alsouse a cross brace on the front lifting arms to beef it up a bit.The ONLY advantage of the yellow over the red is weight, and thank God I am still a strong young man.....so that is a non issue...not that I would be lifting the dam thing anyway.
Now onto the point.......this Spring I am going to score a Handy lift by hook or by crook. I just want to pay off the new Street Glide, and get the thing dialed in engine wise first. Then I will have plenty of cash flow to buy the lift and a few accessories to go with it. As long as you have the room and the occasion to use a lift....I would say just go for it!
This one will do the trick.
