Default Dunlop Tire Defect

A couple weeks ago while washing my '07 Ultra I noticed a split in my front tire tread. The split was about one inch from the center of the tread and ran more than half way around the circumference of the tire. My bike has 3600 miles on it and Dunlop replaced it as a defect The only cost to me was the labor and re-balance. This is not a complaint about Dunlop, the shop and others I talked to about it have never seen one like it. My point of writing this is just to remind people to not forget to inspect their tires. Take nothing for granted.

I am VERY surprised that with an obvious defect like that that you would have had to pay anything at all. Will be checking mine out now.

That's the deal with the tire warranty. No cost for the tire if it's less than 50% tread wear but it's not HD's fault so you pay to change it.
