IDS is the isolated drive system that now comes standard on the '08s. It is a 2 piece rear sprocket that has rubber bushings between the 2 pieces.

My dealer said they have not installed one yet, but they would be charging 2 hrs. labor. It would cost me $30 with the elbow grease program. IDS part would be list price.
