Where did you get the gauges? Are they waterproof? I've been wanting a couple for projects myself. I have an analog one on my old Ironhead to make sure battery voltage is up before shutting it off.

the Harley Kit?
or other?

I installed an "automotive" XM kit on my 1995 FLHTC

adapted the cradle for a left bar mount ( so I could thumb the controls)
mounted antenna on tourpak ( excellent reception)
used an FM modulator to get sound into the radio
powered from the headlight "extra" plug ( Euro position light plug).

This kit complete was about $120...10 years ago.

When i sold my bike, I stripped that stuff off, and have not bothered to install on the 09.
The quality of programming and audio quality has much declined since the sirius merge.
I usually play podcasts on long trips, and use the FM for short trips around town.

I was considering mounting my Sirius on my '14 Ultra, but during my search for mounting options, I discovered that there was a Sirius app that cost only a few bucks a month to piggyback on your account. So I got the app on my iPhone and just run the satellite through the Bluetooth connection.

As a side note, when my subscription is up with the satellite unit that I currently use, I will be activating the Sirius Xm that is integrated in the infotainment system.

I have not had any good luck with fm modulators in cars or at home, I'm leery of trying it on the MC with all the engine coil noise they can produce too. did you have to add any 'noise isolators' to the power line for the xm?
