"DIY MODS" and TRICKS to SAVE $$$$$$

Gents,
After a good cleaning I noticed that my lower bag/fender support was busted.
So I decided to make some brackets to re attach the unit.
I started out with Aircraft grade aluminum 3/4 by 3 " drilled 2 holes, one in each end. twisted 90 deg and painted
Attached the bracket to the lower bag/fender support and to the lowest hole in the fender trim
Tightened and LocTite the blots. Note you will have to readjust the pin locks on your saddle bags and adjust the position of your mufflers if you have fins . The bike will sag if this has been broken for a while, so when you lift it back into position check everything well!!
Sit back and enjoy a clod one

CD holder
I wanted a CD holder in my saddlebag. I didn't want to put it in the lid because the hinge strap studs would cost me too much storage space. I had a short CD holder setting around the shop that fit on the front inside of the saddlebag. Three strips of Velcro and it's done. Cost about $1.50. The cool upside is I don't have to even get off of the bike to find a different CD.

For those of you who haven't seen the DIY air bags thread check it out here... https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...installed.html
I just completed this install for about $200. No test rides yet since it's raining, but I'm definitely looking forward to it.
Anyways, here's a video of the completed project.

This is one cool mod. I don't know if I would want to tackle it myself, but it does get me thinking.

Could someone that's been following this thread for awhile post the top 5 mods in this thread? I don't have the patience to go back & read all 130 pages! If I know what the mods are called I can google them & figure it out. I know I want to do the 'garage door opener' mod but I could use some more good, cheap mods. Thanks!!!

OK - done
1. Install LED windshield trim
2. Install fringe on brake/clutch levers
3. Install 'Get Back Whip' on handlebars
4. Apply 'Bullet Hole' stickers all over gas tank & saddle bags
5. Install rear tire mudflap with chrome nekkid lady on it.
Hope this helps.
