All that said, I love my Road Rage for it's looks and sound. I am not willing to compromise the great sound or looks for a couple of more HP and TQ. I am willing to accept most people don't like the looks of them, which is probably part of the reason I like it. I have yet to run across another bagger in person with a RR on it. So that's a plus to me. As you can probably tell, I don't like to follow status quo on my bike. The most common response I get to my bike when I pull in a parking lot is "Well that's different". I smile and say "thanks", because the last thing I want is for someone to confuse my ride with someone elses.
I responded to your PM and I'll say it here. If there's something I don't like about the RR it is the fitment. It's a pain in the butt to get lined up. I dread having to remove it for any reason.
They do sound unique though. Here's a listen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TaEKcSLAPo

The original poster was primarily concerned with looks and performance. The Road Rage is not the best looking pipe to many people. It's un-conventional and pretty raw looking. From a performance standpoint, the Supertrapp will likely be a better choice because of its' tunability. So that's why I recommended what I did. I think too many people on these types of forums recommend what they are using without taking into consideration the goals that are trying to be accomplished. The Fatcat, Supertapp, Rhinehart and others are good suggestions because they look nice to a majority of the people and also are known to perform well (except for the Rhinehart possibly). The RR is a little to niche for me to recommend it unless someone is looking for a unique looking and sounding pipe that they won't see on every other bagger. Sorry for the rant.

I went with a Super Trapp due to the tune of it. I had the RR and reget getting rid of it. It was a major PIA to fit! I offten regret my bike being EFI do to the temperment of it. I change exhaust way to often and probably should have went with a carb. That being said make sure you research or it will cost a lot of dough! I am lucky that I have friends and this forum as a conduit for good deals.... Good Luck.
PS I only got rid of the RR because I could not get used to the single pipe. Now I have seen very many baggers with the 2x1 and I have changed my mind! The other reason Iwent with a 2x1was my bike was lacking major performance with true duals..
