Default What a pain in the AZZ!!!

[sm=badbadbad.gif][sm=badbadbad.gif]I spent over an hour trying to install the clutch billet cable cover by the tranny and I could not find the correct angle to install this freaking little part. I am returning it back to harley today I am so done is not even funny.... I know I am going to get some smart remarks but I just wanted to share my story (embarrasment that I could not align it)[sm=badbadbad.gif][sm=badbadbad.gif]

Clutch Cable Connector Cover

Add the finishing touch to your transmission. This chrome-plated die-cast cover conceals the clutch cable connector as it enters the transmission end cover. The grooved and tapered cover is styled to match the Fuel Tank Fitting Cover P/N 62809-06 and the Chrome Clutch Ferrule and Banjo Bolt Cover Kit P/N 32714-98A complete a custom look. Kit includes chrome-plated mounting hardware.

I had a hard time with this thing too. Ended up putting the two pieces together around the cable, turning it and tapping it up into position. It worked!

I feel your pain, I struggled for a couple hours one nite in the garage trying to get that stupid cover lined up and all the way on. I gave up when my buddy pulls up on his King and I gave it to him and he fumbled with it for an hour or so and got it to work on his. Takes off for his ride home and 5 mins into the ride the stupid thing slipped off. He took it off and know it sits in the bottom of my spare parts box in the shed. Do you like I did "Fudge It" and crack open another cold one.

You guys need to join chromaholics and hire experts to install all useless do-dads so you don't get stressed out so much.
