More Tq and maintain warranty
Help please, I did a search but still unsure.
I'd like more torque in the 2000 - 4500 range on my 08 RG. Currently stock motor with SE A/C, SERT and soon to be FatCats 2 to 1. I don't want to go into the engine until after the warranty. I've been told cams without the 103 build would make a big difference. I'm trying to keep the $ reasonable. My dealer recommended 213s. I was told using SE cams they could maintain my warranty. Most of my riding is solo on 2 lanes in the NC mountains. What would you suggest and how much should I plan to spend. Thanks fellows.

Bore it/headwork or leave it stock.
My $.02 cents.

I had a 95" big bore kit installed on the 2006 Street Bob, a set of SE 204 Cams as well as a 2 into 1 Thunder Header & a SERT. The Dealer told me since they did the workand the big bore kit and the cams were all HD parts that it would not void the 2 year wty. With yours being a 2008 you already are at the 95" so you would need to just add the SE 204 Cams and the FatCats would be close to the Thunder Header I would say. All said and done I had mine Dyno'ed and it makes 92HP and 110 lbs tq.

RE: More Tq and maintain warranty
I want to respectively disagree with mhud. I believe cams provide more punch than just a bigger bore. Consider this. My 02 RKC with 95", Andrews 26G gear drive, no headwork and true duals with SE slip-ons + SERT tune makes 84 HP and 103 TQ. The 08 96" engine has a longer stroke than my 02 95" which should equate to more TQ. So I ask. Why shouldn't the 96" make an equally impressive gain with just cams (and a good tune)? It's running one more cube (I know, insignificant) and a longer stroke which really should make difference.
