Default Balaclava Hood

I got my new Sportsmans Guide catalog today and found this heavy winter gear listed for $20 with $5 off first shipment members.

It looks warm, but don't know about comfort under a helmet. I use a Turtle fur one that is thin "spandex type" material and double layer fleece around the neck.

I ride year round and I wear two types of Baclavas- 40-45 deg I wear the under armour, 40 and below, I wear both my under armour and GI polypropelene baclava. Fits perfectly fine under helmet. Don't skimp when it comes to equipment. For foot wear in rain/inclement weather, spend the money and get NEOS overboots. Rain gloves - Gemplers neoprene gloves. Take these suggestions from a motorman. you won't go wrong.

You're right. That would be great for hunting, skiiing or other outdoor sports, but the ones we wear under our helmets are made for that and just have a thin fabric in the helmet area.

Exactly what I have- Additionally, The under armour baclava works really well also as a second skin and alone in not so extreme temps.

I bought one from a sports warehouse here in town. It was less than $15. It is thick fleece around the neck, and a spndex thin layer that fits great under a helmet. Plus, it works really well, IMO.
