Great news John!

I assume this bar will not fit the Electra Glide? I’m looking for a bar for a 2008 FLHT or FLHX.

Hey Guys,

Do you have any plans for Bagger bars for the new ’08 HD Touring Models equipped with “FBW” throttle? If so, when will they be available?

Has anyone used these bars on their 08 Touring???

I just sent them an e-mail to see if the WO508's are available...

I am definatley debating them... I just REALLY didn't wanna spend $200 bucks on bars... But... Once I get them and am comfortable I am sure I won't be regreting it... ;-)

Which one of these would be the best for a tall guy. I need about an inch or two back toward the rider and maybe a little higher. Also, will the rbw wire and cables work?

Thanks ALOT... I'm 6'2' so the 518's should be good for me...

THANKS AGAIN!!!

Just gotta find out if all STOCK CABLES and "Throttle-By-Wire" System will work with the Handle Bars...

Just so everyone who reads this knows... Their on REALHOG.COM for about $30 bucks cheaper ($189.00)

I just finished installing chrome wide glide 2007 & earlier bars on our 2008 FLTR Road Glide. HD part 56079-93T. The new 2008 throtle module can easily fir the earlier bars if you are handy with a high speed rotary tool. Three grooves must be cut into the end of the bar and a cable exit hole cut into the bar at the mounting clamps at the tree. The wire ends must be either removed from the harness connector where it connects to the main elec harness or just cut the wires and resolder them back when you are reinstalling the system. Use heat-shrink tubing for a neat job.
The wide glide bars brought the grips about 2.5" closer and a bit higher than the stock FLTR. I had also decided to bend the pull-back section (your grips and controls mount on that) upward about 2" too. This made the bar ends angled more like the stock end does. You will see when you compare the 2 bars. Doing this just involved clamping the new bars in a vise with wood protecting the bar from scratching and then using a pipe to bend the ends of the bars. Do one end at a time and compare the sides by laying the bar on the floor. You will see if it is not equal on both sides. Bend it until you are satisfied.
The last word of caution I would add is that the cable has a connector which will be inside the bars and as you feed the cable into the new bars, this connector must pass by the dimple which is pressed into the bars by the swutch housings. The clearance available for this was too tight on my set and I had to shove the connector thru. Be careful with the connector or just cut and resolder those wires to eliminate the connector.
That's about it. For a cost of $50 and my free labor (worth at least $1000 ! ) the job was done in a few hours and made the wife happier. It is her bike.

So far there is nothing out there to change-out (c/o) the E.T.C. (electric throttle control) itself to the aftermarket handle bars. A service tech from Harley told me that once you remove the E.T.C. from the stock bars your screwed. I miss my Apes, and want to install them on my 2008 FLHRC, but so far can't. (should of done my homework before I sold my Fatboy) and bought new with the E.T.C. Hopefully soon someone will come up with this problem.
So what do you have to do? Buy a whole new set-up of Throttle controls with the ETC with extended wires?

I just changed my 08 bars out. Easy pickens if you have the right bars.
Extenders for the wires? :

JMA57, if you have ABS, the throttle is the least of your worries.
