Anyone know what is the best way to clean the brake disc's ? I am cleaning my bike for winter storage and noticed the discs needed cleaning. Was not sure waht to use.

I'll tell you what, I've tried a lot of different thing on the rotors...quick detail, brake cleaner, degreaser, windex, etc. I wash my bike occasionaly, and wax it with Zymol right when I wash it, and maybe once in between washes. I hit it with a micro cloth and Pledge almost every day (I ride every day) and the paint looks great. I don't allow any bug, tar, dirt, or dust to build up on it. So, last night I'm hitting my RG with pledge......I picked it up two weeks ago from the dealer when I traded in my 05 Vivid Black FXD for it. It was a 07 rental that they brought out and put on their sales floor. I don't think they ever ever cleaned the bike......anyway, hitting the bike with Pledge like I always do, and started working on the wheels and rotors when I finished with the finer surfaces. I could not beleive how easy the Pledge worked to clean "everything" off of the rotors (inner area only) and the wheels.

Just one more thing that I will recomend Pledge for.

Yes. I use the can only. I do NOT use the wipes, as I use my own clean micro fiber cloths. I spray the Pledge on the cloth and not on the bike. It is easier to control application.

mvinc is right. easier to control overspray if you spray directly on the cloth. Microfiber of course.
