Default tour pak plate

Anyone knowthe thickness the aluminum plate in the bottom of the tour pak? I bought a tour pak off of e-bay and they ripped everything out of the inside. No plate, torx screws, gromets; they evern cut the end of the brake light multilock plug.
So I need to make a new plate just need to know how thick the standard plate is. 3/16 or 1/4??

anywhere from .060 to .125 will be think enough, i dont even think the one i made for mine is that thick, dont really need much to stop it from flexing

It's pretty thin if I remember right, more like a 1/16th of and inch not sure what gauge that would be though, at least thats what it lookslike to me. Maybe someone will chime in tell you for sure

thanks guys, I will order a 24" x 24" plate and cut it down to fit. I was guessing it was about 1/8th but not sure.

Why not shoot Zanotti's an email and ask for a part number and price? I ask because the OEM plate has a smooth bottom with bolts underneathalready formounting, cut-out for light bar wiring, etc.

I'm a big fan of DIY, but even with a liner the bolt heads may be a problem, exact fit more difficult (for me to do anyway)--just my 2 cents.

I called an independent shop today they could not find a part number so I thought I would have to make it myself. I didn't think it would be too hard to cut out 19 x 12.5 trapezoid and notch out the corners. So Cal thanks for the information.

Just happen to have an Ultra in the shop for a complete re-build and re-paint. Plate is .075" thick galvanized steel, so if you are going to use aluminum you will have to go a little thicker to get the same strength/rigidity.

Hope this helps.
