Default 2008 Road Glide deal or no deal

Dealer offered me $14,000 on tradefor my 2003 black carb Road King. It has some $14,000 in accessories and motor mods and 23,000 miles on it. They are selling me the Road Glide at MSRP plus $650 doc, prep BS.

Should I feel fair about this deal or are the sticking me

I think you are better off trying to sell it yourself

That's probably not too bad. They have the ability to waive the setup fees if they are inclined.

As far as the trade goes... you ALWAYS loose on that. You can either sell it yourself or just accept it.

If they haven't already seen your bike, pull all the extras you can pull and sell them yourself.

Check the Blue Book values

Trade In value's around 10,000 or a bit less - Dealers usually don't place much trade in value on upgrades, sounds like this one might have. Not sure if they'd be cool with you pulling the good stuff off to put on eBay.

14,000 is retail value,I doubt you'd get much more than that selling it outright unless someone really value's the upgrades.

Sounds like the dealer's making a solid reasonable offer.

If I were you, I'd go for it. Trying to sell a bikethis time of yearwould be a pita and by summer you'd probably get the same for it anyways.....

You always get boned on aftermarket stuff. I stripped mine and sol all the stuff on ebay and got another 1500.
Try to sell it yourself. Bad time of year though
