Signed the papers this afternoon, color is black with abs. Bike will be delivered tomorrow.

Tried selling the bike for $16,500 over the summer and never had a call. All other dealers were offering me 11-12 on trade not sure why this dealer gave me the $14,000 I was looking for.
If it wasn't selling outright at $16,500 and you had other offers 2 - 3,000 less on trade from other dealers than it would seem you already knew the answer to your own question.

If I had a 2003 with 14,000 in mods done to it and paid for.
I would save some cash walk in buy the RG and keep the RK.

Keep in mind, you should only be taxed on the difference.

Example:

20,000 @ 8% = 1600 for sales tax
20,000-14,000 (trade in) = 6,000 @ 8 % = 480 for sales tax

If you sell it outright you may get 15-16 for it, why bother going through the hassle.

As Dawg said, take it.

get a glide and take any extras off and put them back onto the glide...
I think that is a great choice... or just keep both... thats always nice too!

Good luck!!

I think its a great deal ,when you look at the market on used HD
they are every where ,the dealers are making deals on the new ones so to trade up 5 years get the 6spd motor etc for approx
6000 ,I would take it good luck with the new scooter, but its always tough to get rid of the old one
wish I had all my ex bikes

Effective May 25, 2008 at 11 AM, I made my first HD bike purchase at Simi Valley HD Dealer (that I highly recommend and ask for Andy and Craig). I bought a 2008 Vivid Black Road Glide with ABS, security, cruise, and cast wheels. I love it!!! Have a safe ride...
