New Road King Power (96) , vs. Older 88
I am curious what the power (low end mostly) is like on the 96 stock Road King, vs. a stock 88. I sold my 03 RK Classic to my brother and wonder if I get a new 08, will it be much hotter? I had a Stage 1 done on my 03 and had D&D Slip-ons and that thing was pretty sweet. It would blow away my brother in laws stock RK.
So.. what do you think.....
Thanks.

Glyder,
SoCal is right. I have a stock 88", Stage 1, and pipes (for right now). My buddy rented a Stock 96". The 96" was better but not by that much. Look in your P/A catalog and the HD SE 103" dyno sheet shows mid 80's HP and low 90's TQ. Then go to head quarters website and their 95" kit. Itis showing 110HP/115TQ. You can bea wheelin' mo fo, but you won't keep up with that.

Theres not a lot of difference but the 96 is stronger. Put a tuner of some kind on it and it'll haul ***, especially with the rev limiter jacked up. I gotta v/h fuel pack on my 88 with tru duals and a good breather. My brother has the same deal on his 96 with a power commander and His bike is stronger. It'll run 100 in 3rd gear. not that he does that stuff all the time . my 88 without the rev limiter being changed will run about 82- 85 in third before it hits the limiter. Having the rev limiter extended is a big help on these things
