RE: Stock TQ and HP on 96"
Joe Minton is writing a series of articles starting in the April '97 issue of American Rider. They are posted on their web site under Tech Articles.
The Twin Cam 96 that they are using for these tests started out with
68 Hp and 86 ft/lbs at the rear wheel. TC88 that they tested way back in 1999 had 59 Hp and 71 torque. 1984 Evo had 57 Hp and 65 ft/lbs.
One of the things he has shown with this series of articles is what is reported here....That regardless of what Harley says, just changing out the air clearner and pipes to Screaming Eaglesdoesn't give you an appreciable gain. You need to adjust the fuel as well.

The nightrider site also has hp and torque numbers.

Too bad about the low numbers out of HD for the 96. I was hoping for better. The local dealer dynoed my TC with a 95" kitwhich has the SE203 cams at 74 HP@5200 and 92 TQ at 3200. I would have hoped that HD would have tried to get closer to the 95" kit figures with the 96" motor. The advertised numbers for a 96" with the 103" stage 1 kit with cams is about 76HP and 91TQ so that is a rough comparison of big bore kits of both an 88" and a 96". So the ending numbers are about the same BUT one motor still has 7 less cubic inches doing it! The new motor does have some great improvements though I feel for durability in the valvetrain and oiling and it is nice to have an auto primary chain tensioner as stock too.

When Minton tested the bikes before and after the changes in that article he did not tune the bikes. No type of tuning device was used ie. PC111, SERT, etc. Hardly a fair evaluation.
I averaged 5 or 6 dynos taken from various magazines on bone stock 96 motors. 66hp/80 tq.
Most stage 1 results seem to yield approx. mid 70s hp/high 80s to low 90s tq.
