They look sweet...Not my style but I always admire different approaches to style. I'm not into Lowrider cars but love to go to the car shows to see the detail work. Its all about what fits you and making it your ride!

Most intelligent thing said in this entire thread. And would it have bothered anyone if he said "They look terrible... Not my style but I always admire different aproaches to style" ?

RE: APE'S INSTALLED---WOW
I think they look excellent! Great job Cwilks!
I did16's w/internals, braided, and chrome controls on my FXD that I recently traded in. Yes it wasa little bit tedious, but nothing to be affraid of (for you baggers out there hating, but secretly considering doing them). I actualy loved them and am thinking I will eventualy put some on my FLTR further down the line. Probably 14" this time. The stock bar on the RG is reallyits weak point in terms of comfort. In the meantime, I'm probably gonna start with WG bars to save some $ and get more comfort.
Apes, like drag bars, or anything else not the norm, are an aquired taste. but, once you have them, you will probably love them. I did.

cwilks,
You're bike looks great and the fact that you did all the work yourself makes it that much better. I won't get into all the varying opinions as to what bars look or don't look good on certain bikes. There are no hard and fast rules on what looks good, ONLY OPINIONS. I obviously like the look of apes on baggers (and a lot of other bikes), that is why I put them on my scoot. That's it, I'm done.
Good job cwilks.
