jr: Now that you have done the detachable stuff to an Ultra, we'll be counting on you to help others who regularly post the "how do you make the TP detachable on and Ultra; what do you do with the wires/cables/etc.?"

Where are all those wires?
Does the radio work ok?
How about the CB?
Did you make it detachable?
If yes...............?
How much did that cost?

I just stuff all the wires in the saddle bags, listen to cd's and who cares about th cb radio. I know everyone swears by the quick detach but it really only takes 20 minutes to remove or re-attach the tp.

I'll be glad to share everything!

I had my dealer do the detachable tour pack. I had them relocate the radio antenna to the fairing. It works great, but I live in the Dallas metroplex, so YMMV if you live where the signals are weak. When the tour pack is on, the CB works.

I got the seat from C&C. It was their first for an 08 Ultra. My dealer had told me the seats on the Street Glide and Ultra are interchangeable, so we used the Street Glide as a guide. The seat didn't exactly fit, but I was able to Dremmel it and get it to work.

The wires quick disconnect and are zip tied under the seat. It works for now. We'll see.

The tour pack comes off/goes on in less than 5 minutes easily.

I would rather get a Street Glide & add this quick detach 2-up Tourpak rack that fits on the front docking points. Less hardware & no wiring to mess with!

Do you unbolt and change docking hardware for the solo and 2-up with the tour pak? I love my setup now but sometimes its nice to have it moved back when you want to go 2-up.
