Default Reduced reach bars for '05 Road Glide

I'm looking to reduce the reach to the handlebars on my '05 Road Glide by a couple of inches. Any suggestions? Please include part numbersand if cables have to be changed out. I am aware of the reduced reach seat that is available, but for nowI'm justlooking at a handle bar solution. Thanks!

Lots of info on the here. Many use the WG Bars and others the Heritage Bars. I personally tried each out this week at the dealer and will be moving to the Heritage bars.

Default RE: Reduced reach bars for '05 Road Glide

I put Heritage bars on my 2003 Road Glide. I did not have to replace the cables but did have to straighten out the front brake line near the hand grip. Also I had to remove the speedo and tach and notch out the cover piece over the bolts that hold the bars on. Doing this is discussed in depth here on the forum so just run a search to find the how to's and why's of it. Some folks prefer the pre 06 Wide Glide bars but I didn't care for the angle ofmy wrists with these bars. Both of these bars will move your grip back between 1.5 and 2 inches with a small rise in height. The Harley bars only run around $55 and look good. I went to the dealer and sat on Wide Glides and Heritage softail classics to get a feel for the bars. I hope I've been of help to you.
