I am a fairly smart guy, no long list of graduations but pretty smart.
And I have read a tonne of stuff over the last few days trying to make up my mind and the conclusion goes like this...
Get a good air filter - as the stock one is not much good at all.
No need to get one that flows through more than the SE version - so buy the SE kit and when K&N bring out the good filter in a month, fit that to it.
If your throttle body cannot handle 300+ CFM and your cylinders and pistons are not geared up for it - then anything over 300cfm it is a waste of time.
The additional cost to change again later is only $150 - So why waste that money now if you're not doing the engine work up front?!
Thanks for all the input - you guys that spent a tonne of money on a big filter and just changed the mufflers.....I know you wasted that extra money....I read all I can possibly read about it!
