Default Baker DD6 for 07 Touring Models

Has anyone gone to a Baker DD6 transmission on thier 07 touring model? If so, are theyquieter than the stock HD tranny? Smooth? They both have helical top gears so I was wondering if Baker found a way to beat out HD on this one.

No doubt, but you have an 06. My opinion is, if you have a 6 speed already, why waste the cash? I havent heard of any HD 6 speed failures.

I'd agree , with the 07's and 08's I can't see going with a Baker . With a good synthetic and IDS they run fine . If you have a 5 speed , by all means I'd say a Baker DD6 is a fine choice

I think you'd be better of looking into the F6F, which gets rid of the straight cut gears for an 07/08. It runs around $1500. Talked to a guy that had it done and he loved it.

I saw a Baker made kit on JP cycles that replaced the 5th gear, could this be the one you are talking about? "F6F"?
