Zippers has the kits, and you get the gearing you want. I changed it on my 03 glide and love it! I can see why most wouldn't want the chain, but those of us with built engines like it. I snapped two belts, and was going to change the primary gearing which cost about 300, instead i went to the chain, and ended up getting the gearing i wanted for the same cost with the chain kit. Now i can horse on it without worrying about breaking the belt and that alone was worth it to me, plus i enjoy wrenching on my bike and chain maintenance is very minimal and not very messy with the lubes available today.

Hot pursuit i broke the stock belt, then a bdl belt, the one that was holding up was a screaming eagle high load sidecar belt. That belt is too wide for your bike though.

Yeah, there's a shop in Florida that makes chain conversions for the 'Busa's and VMax's. Anything is possible with enough $$$$ !
What kind of chain conversion do you think is needed on a Busa? Outside of the Buell's and I think a few shaft drive BMW's, I haven't seena sportbike with a belt drive, expecially a jap sportbike!

LOL, you're right on the 'Busa--that was a belt drive conversion. Here's a couple oflinks ona VMax, however, going from a driveshaft to chain drive. http://www.pcwracing.net/darrellvmax/darrellsbike4.htm

http://madmax.com/hot_products1.htm

All it takes is $$$$. Build it and they will come!

Boss Hoss bikes run a belt. Belts can handle power. Holeshots and hooking up during burnouts are big belt killers.
