Default If not Rineharts then what? 05 Ultra Classic

OK, I know this has probably been beat to death. But let's do it 1 more time.
I want to put true duals on my 05 Ultra. I like the Rineharts but I just don't want to fork over that much $$$.
What's the 2nd best choice? Who didn't go the Rinehart route and like what you got?

Thanks,

JC

If youlike a little bark (read damn loud!!) the V&H Big Shot Duals look and sound awesome. I think they run a little cheaper too.

I have the V&H true duals with Wild Piggs and love the way they sound. They have a nice throaty sound on the highway, but can still here the radio just fine. The WP's cost a lot less than the RH's.

Most of the true dual pipes are going to cost close to the Rineharts anyways. Thunderheader true duals are pushing the $800+ range, and even for the V&H, you have to buy the slip ons, and then the dual header pipes, which are still over $700 last time I looked.

I actually bought the true dual Rineharts from Eastern Performance....I paid $658.00 delivered. Like yourself, I have a 2005 Ultra and the sound is incredible. I stuck them on myself...took about 2 hours, 3 beers and 6 swear words.

BUB X-Dresser Duals. Same pipes as the Rineharts but you can add your own slip-ons.

If you MUST have true duals but don't want Rineharts, V&H Big Shot Duals (just as Hoz88 suggested) sound great and will run you about $545 from Eastern Performance. Cobra headers have an MSRP of $370 but you need to add slip-ons. These are Cobra Speedster Longs, which I think sound awesom:

If you can live with the H-D stock header pipes (and therefore keep the crossover), your choices broaden immensely, with slip-ons by V&H, Bassani, Rinehart, Rush, Porker, Hooker, Cobra, Python and D&D. I'm sure there's even more. These will run from about $260 to $450 for the pair. They'll give you just as much if not more performance than TDs, and save a lot of work on the install.

Personally, I run Rinehart TDs, of course![sm=smiley32.gif] Good luck. On of the most interesting thing about Harleys is that 95% of them are identical, save for their exhaust - I guess this is the "personality" of the bike.

A link for Eastern Performance is below:
