Default Hiway pegs

05 Ultra. Picked up Hd part 50910-03a and Kuryakyn 4445. This is the mount kit and the switchblade pegs. Anyone have pics on how they mount and position of where to start with before fine tuning. Also should I put some rubber inner tube under the bracket first to avoid damage to enginge gaurd or bolt her on. Sure could use some pics to see what your bike looks like with these or any pegs mounted. Note Ultra has the lowers so the pegs must go outside of the gaurds. Is this going to really be something I will enjoy and find confy or not. One of the things I am trying to get away from is my thighs rubbing on tank sides. This is another problem..How or what to do so legs do not rub the finish off of the tank. Anyone else having this issue.

Can't help you with the pics, but one bit of advice regarding your question about putting something between the brackets and the engine guard. I don't think that's necessary, but when you move the brackets, be sure and loosen them all the way up. Don't try to loosen them just enough to slide up or down on the engine guard. Don't ask me how I know. Let's just say the I can't move one mine from where it is now on the engine guard. It's covering up my mistake. Luckily they are comfortable where it is.

Don't use anything between the mounts and the guards...if you do, the pegs will slip if you have any pressure on them. OK, you may scratch the guard a bit, but, hey...they aren't meant to come off, huh?

I can't ever take mine off now. My mistake cause a little more than a scratch. It flaked off a pretty good size piece of chrome.

Buy yourself the tank bra, HD #62063-01 . Should do the trick.
